What Akimbo Club Is Actually All About

Look, we didn’t start this brand just to slap a cheap logo on a blank t-shirt and call it a day. The clothing market is completely flooded with that kind of lazy stuff right now. Honestly, Akimbo Club started out of pure frustration. We were tired of buying clothes that looked awesome on an Instagram feed but felt like total garbage when you actually put them on. You know exactly what I mean—shirts that shrink two sizes after one wash, or pants that completely lose their shape the second you sit down. We wanted gear that we actually wanted to wear every single day.

We operate right out of Salt Lake City, UT 84101. It’s not exactly the fashion capital of the world, and we honestly prefer it that way. Being away from all that industry noise lets us focus entirely on what actually matters: the clothes, the cuts, and the community. We spend our time obsessing over how a piece drapes over the shoulders or how heavy a hoodie feels when you throw it on during a cold morning.

The Unhealthy Obsession with Fabric

Let’s talk about the actual materials for a second, because this is where we really refuse to compromise. We spent an insane amount of time developing a vintage-inspired woodland print on 100% lightweight brushed cotton. We literally wanted it to feel like that one rare vintage tee you found at a thrift store ten years ago, but with the durability of a brand-new garment. It’s that single-stitch detail and the softness of the cotton that tells you this is a premium piece. We don’t cut corners because we are the ones wearing these clothes right alongside you.

Our entire design language revolves around that relaxed, slightly oversized, boxy aesthetic. We want our gear to look effortless. Take a look at our heavy-duty straight leg sweatpants for example. We engineered the leg opening and the inseam so they stack absolutely perfectly over your sneakers. They aren’t too baggy, and they definitely aren’t tight. It is a precise, tailored streetwear drape that looks highly intentional.
